WIU Jazz Festival Guest Artist Jam Session Feb. 15

MACOMB, IL -- Six outstanding jazz artists from throughout
the United States will participate in a jam session as the
opening event for the 28th Annual Jazz Festival at Western
Illinois University. The jam session will be from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Parkview Room of the Macomb Dining
Company.
The artists include Bobby Shew, trumpet, from Van Nuys, CA;
Tom Garling, trombone, from Chicago; Mike Flack, piano, from
Chicago; Mike Lee, tenor saxophone, from Montclair, NJ; WIU
alumnus Toby Curtright, bass, from Peoria; and Paul Wertico,
drums, from Chicago.
Tickets - - $5 for the public and $3 for students and
seniors - - will be available at the door. For further
