QC Economic Outlook Program March 6

MOLINE, IL -- A national and regional look at the current economy, including unemployment, the stock market and the real estate market in the Quad Cities region, will be presented by an economic adviser for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and a Western Illinois University economics faculty member at a special program hosted by the WIU College of Business and Technology in the Quad Cities Thursday, March 6.

William Strauss, senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank, will present a national and regional economic review, while William Polley, WIU economics associate professor, will present a look at the local economic forecast for the Quad Cities, beginning at 7:30 a.m. March 6 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 226 17th St., Rock Island (IL).

The event is co-sponsored by the Quad City Chamber of Commerce Federation (Bettendorf, IA Chamber, Illinois Quad City Chamber and DavenportOne, IA) and MidwestOne Bank.

Registration and breakfast, $15 for Quad City Chamber members ($20, nonmembers), begins at 7:15 a.m. The program will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. Advance registration is required by Wednesday, March 5 by calling the Quad City Chamber at 309/757-5416 or online at www.quadcitychamber.com.
