WIU Students Inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma

MACOMB, IL -- Thirty-four Western Illinois University students and one faculty member were recently inducted into AACSB International Business Honorary Society Beta Gamma Sigma.

The mission of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the student of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the society and to serve its lifelong members. BGS was founded as a national organization in 1913. To become eligible for master's level membership, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class. Fewer than 8,000 graduate students worldwide are inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma each year. Undergraduates being considered must be in the upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class.
