WIU Student Dies in Auto Accident Feb. 6

Western Illinois University music student David O. Lowry, 26, of Galesburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 6 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident Feb. 6.
According to the Illinois State Police District 14 report, Lowry's vehicle was struck headon by another vehicle at 7:52 a.m. one mile north of Good Hope on
Route 67. Lowry was transported to McDonough District Hospital and then lifeflighted to OSF Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at OSF in the afternoon hours on Feb. 6.
