The Presidency and U.S. Policy Toward Africa

MACOMB, IL - - Daniel Ogbaharya, a visiting fellow in Western Illinois University's College of Arts and Sciences, will present "Would an Obama or McCain Presidency Result in 'Change' in U.S. Foreign Policy Toward Africa?" at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 in Morgan Hall 101B.

Originally from Eritrea (Eastern Africa), Ogbaharya is a dissertation fellow and instructor of African politics in WIU's political science department, as well as a doctoral candidate in international relations and comparative politics at Northern Arizona University. He has a Master of Arts degree in international development and environmental studies from Ohio University. His research interests concern issues of political development, environmental sustainability and peace-building, with a regional emphasis in Eastern and Southern Africa.
