WIU CBT Alum to Give Job Tips and More March 23

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University alumni Rick Bennett, director of information technology at T. D. Williamson, Inc., will discuss the alignment between business and information technology, as well as provide tips for soon-to-be job-seeking WIU graduates, at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday, March 23 in Stipes Hall, room 121. Bennett's presentations are open free to the public.

Bennett earned his bachelor's degree in information systems from Western in 1992. His current responsibilities at the Tulsa, OK-based T.D. Williamson -- also known as TDW -- include managing a $12 million budget, with overall responsibility for four line managers and 37 professional staff; managing the business unit/information technology alignment; and overseeing the application, infrastructure and telecommunications departments. According to its website, TDW is an international company that provides pipeline equipment and services, including solutions for onshore and offshore applications.

Bennett's past professional achievements include serving as: vice president of Blakely Crop Hail Insurance; chief information officer at National Farmers Organization; and a manager of information technology at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma.
