Smith Services Set

MACOMB, IL – A memorial service, with military honors, for former Western Illinois University Purchasing Officer David Smith, who died Sept. 4, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at the First United Methodist Church, in Monmouth (IL).
Smith, who was raised in the Macomb area, worked as a Certified Purchasing Officer at Western for the past 20 years. He graduated from WIU with a bachelor's degree in finance after serving four years in the U.S. Navy.
Smith is survived by his wife Donna of 41 years, and their three daughters; Jennifer Smith Fisher (Scott) of Colorado Springs, CO, Amanda Smith Arp (Doug) of Beaverton, OR, and Sarah Smith of Monmouth. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
