College of Arts and Sciences Fund-Raising Dinner Oct. 16

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's College of Arts and Sciences will host its Third Annual Scholarship Fund-Raising Dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.
Last year's event raised more than $30,000 for scholarships across the college, and the college is poised to exceed that figure this year, according to Interim Dean Susan Martinelli-Fernandez.
Tickets for the event are $60 each, with $32 of each ticket going directly to the scholarship fund of the donor's choice. Participants will receive a charitable giving receipt for the donation portion of their ticket. Tables of eight are available for $480.

Western's Black Student Association, which is celebrating its GROOVEJAM Homecoming party throughout the University Union, is co-sponsor for the dinner.
