MACOMB, IL - - Hello mudda, hello fadda! Greetings from Camp… Western Illinois University students, you insert the camp name! Check out the summer camp jobs available at the recreation, park and tourism administration (RPTA) department's annual Summer Camp Job Fair from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

According to Christi Reed, from Western's RPTA department, students can gain valuable experience working at a summer camp.

"We have a variety of camps exhibiting every year, so a student from any major or field of study can find a place to work. We have church camps, girl and boy scout camps, educational (computer, art, etc.) camps, camps that work with inner-city or at-risk kids and camps that work with people with disabilities," she said.

Reed added that students may want to bring résumés and/or their reference lists to the job fair, as camp directors will have job applications available and may even set up interviews the day of the job fair.

For more information, contact Reed at (309) 298-1967 or CM-Reed3@wiu.edu. Learn more about the 2010 RPTA Summer Camp Job Fair online at wiu.edu/RPTA/scjf.
