WIU Broadcasting and Midcontinent Communications to air Summit League Tournament Locally

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University Broadcasting department and University Television will air the men's and women's quarterfinal games of The Summit League Tournament locally Saturday (March 6) with the help of Midcontinent Communications.

wiutv3 will carry all quarterfinal and women's semifinal games live on Comcast channel 3 and campus cable channel 3 with Midcontinent Communications' announcers Al Bahe, Tom Nieman and sideline reporter Tim Peters. The broadcasts will be available 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tip time.

Fans can also access all video broadcasts live via SummitTV with a subscription. Saturday's men's basketball game will also be offered on ESPN Full Court online with a subscription.

In addition to the televised broadcasts, all Western Illinois men's and women's games will be carried live on WIUS-FM 88.3 and streamed live on www.GoLeathernecks.com with audio from WIU announcers Danielle Gagnon and Kevin Pomazal (women's game) and Kyle Schassburger and Derek Diesner (men's game).

The Fighting Leatherneck women's basketball team will face Oakland Saturday at 2:30 p.m., with Western's men's game to follow at 8:30 p.m. against IUPUI in the single-elimination championship tournament.
