"In the Heights" March 6

MACOMB, IL - -The Tony Award winning musical "In the Heights" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 in Western Hall on Western Illinois University's Macomb campus.

Written by Manhattan native Lin-Manuel Miranda, "In the Heights" explores the New York neighborhood of Washington Heights on the brink of change. The community must choose what traditions to keep and which ones to leave behind.

"In the Heights" has won many awards including four Tony Awards, a Grammy for Best Musical Show Album, an Outer Critics' Circle Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical. It has been seen Off- and On-Broadway and has been performed in Japan and Puerto Rico.

Tickets, ranging from $10 to $30, are available at the Hainline box office, (309) 298-2900, from noon-5 p.m. weekdays, and at wiu.edu/BCA, click on "Get Tickets."
