MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Gov. Pat Quinn has announced appointments to Western Illinois University's Board of Trustees.

Trustee appointments include Cathy Early, a State Farm agent, of Macomb, Carolyn Ehlert Fuller, who is retired from Deere & Company as director of Public Affairs & Program Support, Public Affairs Worldwide, of Milan, and Phil Hare, former U.S. Representative for the 17th Congressional District. Ehlert Fuller previously served on the WIU board from 1998 through October 2011.

Other trustees include Donald "Bill" Griffin, geography professor emeritus, of Macomb; Lyneir Cole, a law enforcement and justice administration alumnus from Chicago and member of the WIU Alumni Council; alumnus Bill Epperly, owner of Stoneage Marketing in Chicago; and Michael Houston, mayor of Springfield. Cesar Salas, a WIU student, will serve as the student trustee through June 30, 2012.

Cole was appointed, along with the reappointments of Griffin and Epperly, in November 2011. Griffin has served as a trustee since 2006, Epperly since 2004 and Houston since 1997.
