Tech Fest and Digital Commons Open House April 26

MACOMB, IL -- Join faculty and staff members from several Western Illinois University departments, as well as individuals and groups from west central Illinois education, service and business organizations, to celebrate the WIU College of Education and Human Services' 13th annual Tech Fest Thursday, April 26 on the WIU-Macomb campus.

Slated for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Horrabin Hall gym, Tech Fest 2012, which this year is themed, "Win IT with Technology," will feature an array of exhibitors and participants, including exhibits and presentations from area high school students; Western Illinois University faculty, staff and students; Citizens Bank in Macomb; Illinois State Police; QAVTC Robotics Team 4196; Apple, Inc.; and many more. At 1 p.m., there will be a drawing for an Apple iPad. (Contestants must be present to win.)

During Tech Fest 2012, an open house to unveil the re-designed Digital Commons in the Leslie F. Malpass Library, first level, will also be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Currently enrolled students who visit the Digital Commons during the open house can register to win an Apple iPad 2, and Malpass Mocha will be available to library and open house patrons.
