MACOMB, IL – Staff Secretary/Office Manager Diane Bagley has been named the June 2012 Civil Service Employee of the Month at Western Illinois University.

Bagley began working at WIU in March 2001 as a secretary III in the Center for the Application of Information Technologies (CAIT). In June 2006, she was promoted to a secretary IV in economics and decision sciences department.

In April 2007, Bagley transferred to the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Research (CITR) and was eventually classified to her current position as a staff secretary/office manager.

According to Bagley's nominator, she is highly motivated and continually looks for new challenges.

"Her ability to multi-task is beyond exceptional and she is able to solve issues before they escalate to major problems," her nominator said. "Diane works tirelessly with others on campus to identify new faculty and employees. This ensures our office touches base with new faculty and works to relieve some of the anxiety they feel when coming to a new community. She does this all with a smile on her face."

Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this monthly recognition should contact Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) Public Relations Representative Wendi Mattson at WK-Mattson@wiu.edu.
