Author Stephen Graham Jones to Speak at Western March 30

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of English will host the Fred Ewing Case and Lola Austin Case Writer in Residence, Colorado author Stephen Graham Jones, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the third floor auditorium of Sherman Hall.

Jones will read from his latest novel, "Mongrels," and a brief question and answer session will follow.

Jones has written more than 20 novels, as well as several hundred short stories. He is an author of horror, literary and experimentalist prose.

Jones has been an NEA Fellow, a Texas Writers League Fellow, and has won the Texas Institute of Letters Award for Fiction and the Independent Publishers Multicultural Award.

In addition to writing, Jones is an English professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

The WIU visit is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and Western's Department of English. The Fred Ewing Case and Lola Austin Case Writer-in-Residence supports bringing national writers of poetry and fiction to Western each year.
