H1N1 Injectable Vaccine Clinic Nov. 11 on WIU-Macomb Campus

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University's Beu Health Center will offer an injectable H1N1 vaccine clinic (to obtain the H1N1 "flu shot") 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the University Union Algonquin Room; however, the vaccine will be administered only to "high risk" WIU students, faculty and staff who meet the following requirements:
- Pregnant women;
- People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age;
- Healthcare and emergency medical personnel;
- Persons 18-24 years of age;
- Persons from 25-64 years of age with certain chronic medical conditions (asthma, heart disease, etc.) or a weakened immune system.
If you do not fall into the above-listed groups, please wait until further notification about when to get vaccinated. For more information, contact Beu Health Center at (309) 298-1888.
