Black Panther Documentary Screening at Western Feb. 27

MACOMB, IL – In honor of Black History Month, the Western Illinois University Department of English Film Club will host a screening and discussion of the 2015 documentary, "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution," from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Simpkins Hall, room 220.

The film is the first feature-length documentary to explore the Black Panther Party, its significance to the broader American culture, its cultural and political awakening for African Americans and the painful lessons wrought when a movement derails.
