First WIU Executive Director of University Technology/Chief Information Officer Interview Set

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – One interview for the Western Illinois University Executive Director of University Technology/Chief Information Officer will be held Tuesday, May 31.

The first candidate is George Abraham, executive director of enterprise application and interoperability at Central Piedmont Community College in North Carolina. Additional interviews will be announced soon.

An open session with Abraham for faculty, staff and students from the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses will be held from 2:45-3:15 p.m. in Horrabin Hall, room 1, and over Zoom at wiu.zoom.us/j/91222981820.

Abraham has served as the executive director of enterprise application and interoperability at Central Piedmont Community College since 2020. Previously, he was the executive director of emerging technologies and interoperability from 2014-2020.

Abraham served as senior manager for web and application development for the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University from 2009-2014, lead applications developer for the College of Arts and Sciences from 2004-2009, webmaster/application developer for the College of Education from 2003-2004 and web application developer for multiple units from 2000-2003, all at The Ohio State University.

Abraham earned his MBA in 2012 and his master of science degree in industrial systems engineering (human computer interaction) in 2003, both from The Ohio State University, and his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1999 from the University of Mumbai.
