Alumni Band Weekend Set for WIU Homecoming

MACOMB, IL - - An alumni band weekend will be held during Western Illinois UniversityÂ’s Homecoming Weekend, Friday-Saturday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
Former marching band members are invited to the 4:15 p.m. Friday (Sept. 30) practice at the Corbin-Olson practice fields to meet the 2005 Marching Leathernecks, followed by a 5-10 p.m. alumni social at WesternÂ’s Alumni House. An alumni band rehearsal will be held Saturday morning to prepare for playing with the Marching Leathernecks during the 1:05 p.m. Leathernecks football game versus Northern Iowa.
Band alumni planning to participate are asked to call University Bands, 309-298-1505, or e-mail Marching Leathernecks Director Douglas Phillips at DL-Phillips2@wiu.edu.
