MACOMB, IL -- Due to the forecasted inclement weather, the Community-University Partnership Program (CUPP) fifth annual Welcome Back Block Party, set for 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, will be held in the University Union Grand Ballroom rather than the Sherman Hall front lawn as originally scheduled.

The event is open free to the public. Entertainment will be held throughout the party and food will be provided. Other activities include games for children of all ages -- complete with prizes, inflatable slides and games, Fatal Vision goggles and more. In addition, the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce local businesses will be on hand to share information about the community.

CUPP was established to promote better understanding and improved relations between the University and constituencies; to encourage positive University and community contacts; and to establish mutual trust. CUPP focuses on such issues as the relationship between residents and law enforcement organizations, student and community interactions and inclusiveness.
