Musical Ensemble Time for Three to Perform Nov. 17

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Bureau of Cultural Affairs (BCA) Masters of Chamber Music Series will present the group Time for Three in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The trio started off playing together for fun while students at Philadelphia's Curtis Institute for Music. As Time for Three, they have a charismatic ensemble with a reputation for limitless enthusiasm and no musical boundaries, according to the IMG Artists web site. Violinists Zachary De Pue and Nicolas Kendall first introduced country western and bluegrass styles into their music, then bassist Ranaan Meyer experimented with jazz and improvisation. The group has had more than 200 performances, from guest performances with The Philadelphia Orchestra to opening for other musicians on some of the nation's noted stages, including 92nd Street Y in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
