Services for Summer Youth Program Participants
If you are a parent of a child attending one of our summer youth programs, Non-Credit Programs will;
- Process your child’s registration, process your payment, and send you a letter confirming your child’s registration
- Send you medical and photo permission forms to complete and return to us
- Send a “Last-Tips” program letter one month prior to the program, which includes carpool information, an anticipated program schedule, and more complete pre-program information
- Work with you to address special needs your child may have

Services for Conference Participants
If you will be attending one of our conferences, Non-Credit Programs will;
- Process your registration, process your payment, and send you a letter confirming your registration
- Send you information about the program you will be attending
- Prepare a personalized folder, including all handouts, a program agenda, and a nametag available to you when you check into the program
- Prepare a personalized certificate of attendance or credit
- Process Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) credits with the appropriate granting agency
Services for Individuals Receiving CPDU & CEU Credit
If you need credit for attending one of our programs;
- Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) are often available for public school teachers in Illinois who need credits toward recertification
- Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and other professional credit units are often available for professionals who need credit for licensing or certification purposes. These credits are available through the Office of Non-Credit Programs on behalf of Western Illinois University and other professional organizations.
Services to Conference Sponsors
If you are interested in holding a conference, Non-Credit Programs can;
- Assist in developing your program
- Assist in establishing goals that meet audience needs
- Establish realistic registration fees and collect fees
- Process forms for speakers’ honoraria and related expenses
- Pay program bills
- Maintain a record of expenses
- Produce brochure copy and layout
- Print and mail brochures targeted to the appropriate audience
- Meet program deadlines
- Maintain a file of program participants
- Staff the registration desk
- Design and summarize conferences evaluations
- Make recommendations for future programs
Services for Western Illinois University
If you are a Western Illinois University faculty member or department interested in working with Non-Credit Programs, we can;
- Provide visibility for the department by listing it as a co-sponsor on all publicity
- Offer faculty an additional source of compensation for their instructional services
- Offer faculty an additional way of developing the service portion of their files for retention and promotion
- Serve as the administrative entity for the conference while freeing the faculty or department to focus on the instructional content
