WIU Chamber Orchestra

The Western Illinois University Chamber Orchestra, approximately fifteen members in size, was first organized in the spring of 2008 and has performed music of such composers as Archangelo Corelli, Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Phillip Emmanuel Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Friedrich Händel, Georg Phillip Telemann and Paul Hindemith. The orchestra was formed to specialize in baroque performance practice and toured several central Illinois high schools in February 2009 to great success.
