Original Dutch Still Life Painting

Own a magnificent original Dutch still life painting. The artist, Wilhelmus Antonius van Leeuwen, was born in 1901 and spent most of his life residing and working in The Hague in The Netherlands. In 1922 the artist began to study painting under the direction of famed still life Dutch painter Willy Fleur. Little is known about the number of works painted by van Leeuwen, but he was a member of the Netherlandish Art Circle and was exhibited among the ‘Still-life painters of Arnhem'. He is represented in the collection of the Gemeente Museum teArnhem. [Municipal Museum of the City of Arnhem, NL]. Von Leeuwen passed away in 1974, but this original work—believed to be one of his largest paintings—was purchased at auction in the Netherlands by a private collector and brought to America. Add this classic still-life art to your personal collection!
