Application Process For The Peace Corps/AmeriCorps Fellows Program
The application materials listed below must be submitted to the Peace Corps/AmeriCorps Fellows Program in order to be considered for acceptance into the program. Note: Please communicate with the Program Director about your application progress. This will allow us to better track your application status and expedite the process.
Graduate Admission Application (available at wiu.edu/grad)
- An application fee waiver is available to Fellows program applicants, please contact our office for the code (pcf@wiu.edu)
- Official transcripts from ALL Colleges or Universities attended
- Current Résumé
- Three Letters of Reference
- Complete departmental application process in one of our ten partnering departments.
- Application for Graduate Assistantship (wiu.edu/grad)
- Complete a FASFA application (fafsa.ed.gov) and indicate WIU as a recipient
Peace Corps/AmeriCorps Fellows Application
- Resume
- A copy of Peace Corps Description of Service (DOS) OR description of AmeriCorps service
- A two-page essay which addresses your reasons for applying to the program, your career aspirations, and a motivational statement describing your interest and commitment to community development
