Research Interests
At present I work on both graphene and on various aspects of high-temperature superconductivity. I became interested in planar graphite or graphene in 2003. I investigated magnetic oscillations (de Haas - van Alphen effect, Shubnikov - de Haas effect) and integer quantum Hall effect in this new fascinating material. This unconventional quantum Hall effect, and the predicted nonstandard features of the quantum magnetic oscillations have been observed in the most recent experiments [see Nature 438 (2005) 197 (2005); Nature 438 (2005) 201 ; Physics Today, 59 (2006) 21].
