Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to: 

  1. extrapolate the firm’s current situation into the future based on his/her assessment of competitive threats and new opportunities  (reflective thinking)
  2. use tools of marketing to understand the firm’s current situation and its position relative to its competitors  (analytical skills)
  3. analyze historical and pro forma financial statements and profit analysis reports in a marketing context  (financial analysis and reporting)
  4. understand each independent functional area within the marketing complex, as well as the interrelated nature of the field  (integration)
  5. contextually apply marketing terms, principles, and thinking to a real world situation  (knowledge application)
