Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to: 

  1. demonstrate leadership that is applied to continuously improve productivity in business and industry
  2. apply leadership knowledge about world-class manufacturing systems in a global economy
  3. apply knowledge of manufacturing strategies, agendas, and quality control to the leadership and management of people in world-class production entities
  4. demonstrate knowledge of the principles of world-class organizations and restructuring of manufacturing practices such as:  lean thinking, lot sizes of one, elimination of waste, value stream determination, continuous improvement, and training
  5. demonstrate competency in oral, written, and graphic communication
  6. apply the environmental and social principles which are important in manufacturing settings
  7. provide leadership in the application of problem solving skills to industry
