Summer 2008 Scholarship Information
The WIU Scholarship
Office offers scholarships to undergraduate
and graduate students planning to attend WIU's Summer School.
Recipients will receive $500 awards. Selection will be based on
the following criteria:
All scholarship awards are dependent on the availability of sufficient funds.
Undergraduate Students
- Have a declared major
- Have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average
- Evidence of extra-curricular activities including on-campus
student organizations
- Plan to enroll for at least six semester hours in summer school
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 or more hours) during the 2009 Spring Semester
- Must be in good judicial standing
All classes can apply but preference will be given to juniors
and seniors.
Graduate Students
- Have 12 or more hours in a graduate program
- Have a 3.7 or higher cumulative grade point average
- Evidence of extra-curricular activities including on-campus
organizations
- Plan to enroll in at least six semester hours in summer school
- Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student (9 or more hours) during the 2008 Spring
Semester
- Must be in good judicial standing
All graduate students can apply but preference will be given to applicants close to completing their degree requirements.

Sherman Hall 308, or online at wiu.edu/Scholarships. Deadline is May 1 , 2008.
