Quad Cities Campus

Campus Welcome

Dr. Joseph A. Rives

Welcome to Western Illinois University- Quad Cities! We are proud to be the public choice of the Quad Cities by emphasizing quality, opportunity, and affordability. Western is nationally recognized for providing outstanding academic experiences. Our commitment is consistently recognized in U.S. News and World Report, the Center for Student Opportunity, the Princeton Review, Kiplinger’s Magazine, and Washington Monthly, to name just a few. G.I. Jobs Magazine designates Western as a “Military Friendly” institution, and Military Times recognizes us a “Best for Vets” institution.

WIU-Quad Cities offers 46 programs of study, has 24 student organizations, and serves as home to WQPT-Quad Cities PBS. Over 96 percent of Western’s classes are taught by full-time faculty, and students receive personal attention with a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. WIU-Quad Cities offers an impressive array of day, evening, weekend, and online classes and support services to best serve students’ needs.

WIU is committed to affordability. We have one in-state tuition rate for all students from across the United States. With our Cost Guarantee, you’ll have peace of mind of knowing you’ll pay the same tuition and fee rate for four years.

WIU-Quad Cities is proud to offer hybrid master’s degrees in College Student Personnel, Business Administration, and Community and Economic Development. This format allows you to complete classes by spending a few weekends on campus and the remainder of class time online. We also offer a higher education concentration in our doctoral program in Educational Leadership, as well as a Ph.D. in Environmental Science.

Our Quad Cities Complex houses academic programs in the colleges of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Education and Human Services (COEHS), and Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC), as well as academic and student services--including the beautiful library--and University Administration. Riverfront Hall supports the College of Business and Technology (CBT), including the School of Engineering, and WQPT.

We take great pride in our University and are excited that you are taking advantage of THE public choice both inside and outside the classroom. Become engaged with faculty and fellow students, participate in activities, show pride in your great University, and most importantly make the best out of your memorable time at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities.

I look forward to seeing you at campus and community events as you engage in your educational opportunities. I also look forward to shaking your hand at Commencement in celebration of your accomplishments. As Leathernecks, we are all dedicated to your success.
