Welcome to Western Illinois University-Quad Cities!  We are proud to be the public choice for the Quad Cities by emphasizing quality, opportunity and affordability

Western is nationally recognized for providing outstanding academic experiences, and our commitment is consistently recognized.  U.S. News and World Report, the Center for Student Opportunity, Princeton Review, Kiplinger’s Magazine, and Washington Monthly, to name just a few, rank us among the top tier of best regional universities.  G.I. Jobs magazine also designates Western as a “Military Friendly” institution.

WIU-Quad Cities offers more than 42 programs of study, has 23 student organizations, and serves as the home to WQPT-Quad Cities Public Television.  Over 95 percent of Western’s classes are taught by full-time faculty, and students receive personal attention with a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1.  WIU-Quad Cities offers an impressive array of day, evening, weekend, and online classes and support services to best serve student needs.

The WIU Cost Guarantee assures that undergraduate students pay the same tuition and fee rate for four years.  WIU is committed to affordability.  Over 75 percent of Western Students receive financial assistance and/or scholarships.

WIU-QC celebrates our newest addition – the Quad Cities Complex!  This $42 million state-of-the-art facility hosts academic programs in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Education and Human Services, and Fine Arts and Communication, as well as academic and student services (including the Library), and University Administration.  Riverfront Hall supports the College of Business and Technology, including the School of Engineering, and WQPT—Quad Cities Public Television.

We take great pride in our University and are excited that you are taking advantage of THE public choice both inside and outside the classroom.  Become engaged with faculty and fellow students, participate in activities, show pride in your great University, and most importantly, make the best out of your memorable time at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities!

I look forward to seeing you at campus and community events, as you engage in your educational opportunities. I also look forward to shaking your hand at commencement in celebration of your professional accomplishments.  As Leathernecks, we are all dedicated to your success.
