Free Career Writing Assistance

In response to a challenging local job market, the US-Bank/ WIU-QC Writing Center is launching “Transitions,” a service offering free assistance with resumes, curriculum vitae, cover letters, and job applications available to all Quad Cities area residents regardless of income level or employment status.

Writing Center consultants will teach job seekers to create, develop, edit, format, and design their own job search documents. When scheduling appointments, participants are encouraged to identify specific types of documents they are preparing, as well as types of jobs they are seeking, so consultants can tailor individualized workshops.
