Introduction to WIU's QC Neighbors
The Quad Cities originated with four cities, but has grown over the years to reflect a region comprised of the following cities and their surrounding communities:
- Davenport, IA
- Bettendorf , IA
- Moline, IL
- Rock Island, IL
- East Moline, IL
- Milan, IL
- Silvis, IL
The QC straddles the Mississippi River and it boasts a population of more than 375,000. Western Illinois University is the only public university with a campus in this area. WIU welcomes its neighbors on both sides of the river and guarantees in-state tuition for QC residents residing in Iowa.
