WIU-QC Offers In-State Tuition

All students that reside in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin on the Quad Cities Campus will pay Illinois in-state tuition and there is no requirement to establish Illinois residency. This benefit applies to undergraduate as well as graduate courses and can result in significant cost savings for students originating outside Illinois.

Admissions Standards

Admissions Standards to transfer to WIU-QC Campus are as follows:

  • Earned 24 semester hours or more and
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and
  • Be in good academic standing at the last school attended.

Please note that certain majors may have a higher GPA requirement. Review specific major requirements.

Consider Dual Admission

What is Dual Admission?

With dual admission, you gain admission to both a community college and WIU-QC simultaneously and receive customized academic advising. In addition to cost savings, there are many advantages to Dual Admissions. Students become familiar with the WIU transfer staff and academic advisers who enable them to feel more comfortable with the transfer process. There are many ways to visit campus. You can attend one of our Discover Western Quad Cities sessions. These days allow you to: tour the campus, meet with academic and student services staff, talk with current WIU students and get your questions answered.

This is a great way for you to find out what Western Illinois University Quad Cities can offer you and get a feel for what campus life is like. To attend a session please rsvp by sending an email to kj-daly@wiu.edu with your name, contact info, and what date you would like to attend.
