About Quad Cities Initiatives

Western Illinois University-Quad Cities offers a variety of programs for the Quad Cities Community and beyond. Our programs are housed on the WIU-QC Campus located along the beautiful Mississippi River on the new Riverfront Campus located at 3300 River Drive in Moline, IL. Participants in our programs enjoy learning in a format designed to further learning for all ages in our area. From summer youth camps to professional development to lifelong learning, the Quad Cities Initiatives Office expands opportunities for continued growth on a personal and professional level.

English Language Conference

This fall Western Illinois University-Quad Cities in cooperation with the East Moline School District, Moline/ Coal Valley School District, and Rock Island/Milan School District will sponsor an English Language Learners Conference for Illinois and Iowa administrators and teachers (k-12). This program is designed to touch on multiple facets of working with English Language Learners, for teachers who are not only in English Language Learner classrooms, but those who have an English Language learner in a general classroom setting.
