Western Illinois University - Quad Cities Riverfront Campus opens this Spring 2012 semester as part of Phase I expansion. Beginning January 17, 2012, doors will open and the first classes will be held at WIU-Quad Cities on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River.
Following precedent established and maintained at our 60th Street/John Deere Road location, the new state of the art location will feature high-tech classrooms, computing, and engineering laboratories, student services, the U.S. Bank Writing Center, and a Library annex. The new building also features a Grand Atrium where students, faculty, staff and visitors can collaborate, study, learn, and interact with a scenic vista of the Mississippi River. All undergraduate courses and MBA courses will be offered at the Riverfront Campus, located at 3300 River Drive, Moline.
WIU-Quad Cities will also host graduate classes, undergraduate Elementary Education and Early Childhood classes, and weekend classes at 3561 60th Street (John Deere Road) in Moline. Trinity MedXpress, WQPT Public Television, and the Quad Cities Graduate Center will also be housed at the John Deere Road location.
