On with the show!  The New York City Community Theatre trip celebrates its 15th offering and second under the combined leadership of Tammy Honesty (Assistant Professor of Scenic Design at Kent State University, formerly of WIU) and Kim McDaniel (Study Abroad Advisor, WIU) with show selection assistance from Dr. Al Goldfarb (President Emeritus, WIU).  Combining favorite locations and new insights, this trip is back for another round of subways, great food, and unforgettable theatre.
The week begins with an arrival night dinner to meet and mingle with your fellow travelers.  Daily walking tours to various parts of the city start on Sunday with an introductory morning walk of Midtown Manhattan.  Other walking tours take you to sites including the Wall Street district, Battery Park, Chelsea, the Highline, the Flatiron District, the Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island.  You’ll see six theatrical performances as a group in a combination of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.  Free time is provided so you can visit other landmarks and museums, take in additional shows, or shop in NYC’s famous stores.
