About the Program

General: Massey University has three campuses located on the north and south islands of New Zealand. Students participating in this program during the fall or spring semester have options to take a variety of courses towards their major, minor, or general education requirements. Students participating in the summer National Expedition and Internship Experience will see the entire country, earn course credit, and gain practical experience through a specialized internship.

Semester Programs:  Students can participate in a semester program at Massey where they will have opportunities to take coursework in a variety of disciplines related to major, minor, and general education courses. 

Summer Program: The summer National Expedition and Internship Experience program is a two week course followed by a four week internship. The program is available in three areas:

Housing and Meals: The accommodation options at the Massey University include student residence halls, shared apartments, and student hostels for the summer programs. More information is available on the Massey University accommodation website

Entry Requirements: Students must apply for a visa before entering New Zealand. Visa requirements can be found on the New Zealand immigration website.

Health Insurance: It is a university policy that all WIU students who study abroad are either covered under WIU student health insurance OR have purchased the Patriot Travel Medical Insurance plan through IMG.
