About the Program

General: Castellón is the capital city of the Castellón province located 40 miles north of València and 180 miles south of Barcelona. It has a population of over 175,000. Students in this program have the opportunity to participate in a home stay with a Spanish family to improve their Spanish language abilities and cultural understanding. 

Semester Programs: Students can participate in a semester or academic year exchange at UJI where they will have opportunities to take coursework in in Spanish in a variety of disciplines with local students. 

Housing and Meals: UJI has housing available in student dormitories, homestays, and apartments. More information about housing and meal options can be found here.

Entry Requirements: Students must apply for a visa before entering Spain. Visa requirements can be found here.

Health Insurance: It is a university policy that all WIU students who study abroad are either covered under WIU student health insurance OR have purchased the Patriot Travel Medical Insurance plan through IMG.
