Child Care Resource and Referral Network
207 West Jefferson Street #301, Bloomington, Illinois

Description/Bio: Many people feel the need to bribe children to behave with candy, stickers and various other rewards. All educators expect children to be intrinsically motivated but often times set children up to be extrinsically motivated by their actions. Teachers and caregivers can set up their environment in an encouraging way that allows children to experience motivation from within which creates a respectful and caring atmosphere. Small group activities, short videos, and discussion will be shared.

This training will provide 5.0 hours for the following:

  • CPDUs (Continuing Professional Development Units) for teacher certification
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) #3
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • EI Credit for Early Intervention professionals in the area of Intervention or Typical Child Development
Full attendance is required to receive a certificate of participation.

In collaboration with Child Care Resource and Referral Network.
