Stuck on Stickers... STOP!
by Carol Weisheit
January 29, 2013
Reg. 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Central Time)
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites 3202 East Empire Street, Bloomington, Illinois
Description: Many people feel the need to bribe children to behave with candy, stickers, and various other rewards. All educators expect children to be
intrinsically motivated but often times set children up to be extrinsically motivated by their actions. Teacher and caregivers can set up their environment in
an encouraging way that allows children to experience motivation from within which creates a respectful and caring atmosphere. Small group activities,
short videos, and discussion will be shared.
