Creative Curriculum Assessment: Pulling it All Together

Prerequisite training: Introduction and Implementation to the Creative Curriculum Preschool 4th Edition (two-day training)

Description/Bio: This workshop will provide an overview of the Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum Assessment System including the Forerunners and Expanded Forerunners to meet the needs of children with IEPs. Participants will become familiar with the implementation of the Individualized Child Profile and the Child in Progress and Planning Report. Through discussions on observing, documenting, analyzing, and evaluating children's learning and progress; participants will gain insight in making informed decisions for evaluating and planning for their classroom and individual children.

Linda Robinson is the Director for STARNET Regions I & III. She has previously been a coordinator, technology trainer, and curriculum specialist on a number of federally funded projects at the Center for Best Practices in Early Childhood. Linda has presented at numerous state, regional, national, and international conferences over the past 25 years and taught an undergraduate course in assistive technology for five years.

Connie Shugart is currently the Project Coordinator and an Early Childhood Resource Specialist for STARNET Regions I & III. She has had numerous years in Early Childhood teaching and/or training Early Childhood professionals and parents of young children. Connie has also been the Executive Producer and host of Apples Video Magazine programs.

Joan Leff is an Early Childhood Resource Specialist for STARNET Regions I & III with numerous years experience. Her past experiences have been in the early childhood profession, working with professionals as well as young children and their families in the Early Intervention, preschool, and primary grade settings. Joan has presented at numerous conferences at the local, state, national, and international levels. Joan has also been both the Executive Producer and host of Apples Video Magazine programs with STARNET Regions I & III. Joan has a Master's in Early Childhood Special Education.

This training will provide 10.0 hours for the following:

  • CPDUs (Continuing Professional Development Units) for teacher certification
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) #2, 3, 7, 8
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate of participation.
