Club description: Team Handball

Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball to throw it into the goal of the other team.  A  standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team with the most goals scored wins.

Mission Statement:  The purpose of the WIU Team Handball Club is to offer college students the opportunity to continue or begin playing team handball at the next level, while at the same time working to better each individual through the collective efforts and growth of the team.  The Team Handball Club is also dedicated to giving back to the community and the school's reputation by fostering the ideas of sportsmanship and success on and off the court.
