Connect with DRC as a Current WIU Student

Although DRC works with the campus community to create accessible and inclusive environments, there may be elements of instruction or course design that result in barriers to your participation or accurate assessment of achievement. If this is the case, you may wish to connect with DRC. Registering with DRC as a prospective student is a 3-step process:

  1. Complete a Request for Services Form (RSF).
  2. When you submit the form to DRC, please schedule a Welcome appointment with a DRC staff member. During the Welcome appointment, we will discuss the accommodation process and disability documentation needed to support requested accommodations.
  3. Submit documents to verify a diagnosis and support requested accommodations. If you have disability documentation, feel free to submit it along with your Request for Services Form. You may also choose to share one of the DRC Accommodation Support Forms with your diagnostician (e.g., physician, psychologist, etc). DRC created these fill-in-the-blank forms to assist professional evaluators in providing the information necessary to support a student’s request for disability accommodations at WIU. All forms and documents should be submitted to Disability Resource Center, 117 Seal Hall or faxed to 309-298-2361. Please note that the DRC office will be relocated to 143 Memorial Hall in Spring 2011.
