In response to past end-of-the-year parties and as stated in President Thomas's open letter to the campus community, University Housing and Dining Services will enforce enhanced security measures and access to the halls.

You will notice…

• All residence hall students are limited to one guest starting 10:00 am on Friday, April 27 through 10:00 am on Sunday, April 29.
• All non-WIU guests must register at the designated check-point location in each residence hall facility starting 10:00 am on Friday, April 27 though 10:00 am on Sunday, April 29.
• Building entrances/exits will be locked to direct traffic to check-in stations located at the "official entrance" of each building (listed below) to help monitor guest and/or resident access.
• an increased presence in residence hall staff on rounds throughout the weekend.
• an increased presence in public safety officers in the residence halls.

Please note that failure to comply with a reasonable request made by residence hall staff in enforcing the above enhanced security measure may result in disciplinary action (Code 15 of WIU Code of Student Conduct) . Additionally, as stated on page 15 in the Leatherneck Living Guide (Residence Hall Policy and Procedure Book), "the University reserves the right to amend any policy herein at any time in accordance with established University procedures." University Housing & Dining Services is committed to the on-going safety of students, maintaining environments in which our students can be successful, and protecting the property of the University and residents.

Official Entrances*: 

Bayliss - entrance on main level.

Henninger - entrance on main level near the dining center access.

Higgins - entrance on main level nearest information desk.

Lincoln - main entrance on first floor lobby.

Grote - main entrance off Grote Circle.

Tanner - north inside circle entrance on the main level.

Thompson - men's side, south entrance first floor lobby.

Washington – main entrance on first floor lobby.

*all other entrances will not be accessible by your regular access key
