Tentative Schedule of Activites for Dads' Weekend
October 19 through October 21, 2012
WIU Parents and Family Association cordially invites you and your Dad to join us for the Annual Dads' Weekend.
We hope you enjoy our line-up of activities! This year's Dads' oriented events are sure to make this a memorable time for you and your student(s). From the ever popular Amateur 9-hole golf scramble, fabulous cooking classes, Friday Dinner Reception with Comedian, Beerfest, WIU football game, barbeque sauce cook off, and a competitive advanced 18 hole golf scramble- we offer something for everyone.
Registration is highly recommended. Many events sell out quickly. If you have any questions regarding reservations or any activity during Dads' Weekend, please contact the Parents and Family Association at (309) 298-2295 or KA-Heuer@wiu.edu
Registration:
We would like all participants to register online. The registration form only contains events that require a prepayment or have space limitations. Many activities are free for Dads' and to take part you just have to be registered for the Weekend. You can pay online with a credit card or mail in a check (reservations will be cancelled on October 14, 2012 if payment has not been received).
The barbeque sauce contest registration will conclude two weeks prior to the event (October 7). Each contestant will be contacted, by using the email address that is self submitted, for the ingredients needed to make 2 Cups of sauce prior to the event. Any contestant that fails to turn in the list will not be eligible to participate. All products will be purchased for you by the Student Assistance and Parent Service Center.
Dads will be required to wear and present their wristbands at these events. Wristbands will be included in your registration packet. Make check payable to the Parents and Family Association. Mail checks and reservation forms to:

Cancellation Policy:
There is a $10.00 non-refundable processing fee for all cancelled registrations. In order to be considered for a partial refund, you must submit a cancellation request which includes a reason for the cancellation in writing no later than October 14, 2012. Cancellations will not be accepted after the deadline. Cancellation requests can be mailed or e-mailed to:

Approved refunds will be processed and distributed after Dads' Weekend. Those receiving refunds will be processed on or around October 27, 2012.
Tee Shirt Orders:
Western Illinois University Dads' Weekend T-Shirts are for order prior to the event. Shirts are available in small, medium, large, extra large, 2 XL and 3 XL and the t-shirt color will be natural. T-Shirt order placed before 4:30 pm on 10/14/12 will be provided at the Dads' Weekend Registration table. T-shirts requested after this date will be back ordered and available for pick up by your student on October 27, 2012 in the Student Assistance and Parent Service Center, 1st Floor University Union.

Directions to off-campus activities will be available at the registration table.
