Service-Learning Committee
Since the fall of 2000, Volunteer Services, through the grant support of Campus Compact, has maintained a group of faculty, staff, and community agencies to discuss service-learning and its impact on our community. The Committee has planned and held a Symposium on Service-Learning, discussed ways of institutionalizing service-learning, ways to work with students, faculty and community agencies, and sponsored service-related events including the first Symposium on Service-Learning ("Classroom Meets Community") in October of 2001.
