Student Development and Orientation (SDO) provides programs, services, and support to enhance student success, learning, and development during the college transition and beyond.

SDO coordinates and implements, with participation from the entire University community, an ongoing and multifaceted orientation program for incoming freshmen and transfer students and their families which will aid, expose, and integrate new students in their transition to the institution, to the broad educational opportunities, and into the life of the institution.

SDO also serves as a liaison for the student body with family, faculty, staff, and the local community to provide a framework for students' successful adjustment to college life, learning, academic success, and development consistent with the academic mission of the University.
