Become an SOS Leader

Responsibilities
- Attend orientation training workshops prior to Orientation
- Welcome new students to campus
- Assist with orientation activities
- Lead small group orientation sessions with new students at the beginning of the fall semester
- Help new students adjust to WIU life
- Share experiences with new students and offer guidance and support
- Show new students the campus layout
- Assist in the new student orientation evaluation process
- Follow up with student groups throughout the academic year
Eligibility Requirements
- Be enrolled at WIU in the fall semester
- Be in and maintain good academic and disciplinary standing
- Possess general knowledge of WIU resources
- Have strong interpersonal communication skills

- Complete and return the SOS leader application today; deadline for both NEW and RETURNER applicants is Friday, April 12, 2013
