Bureau of Cultural Affairs
The Bureau of Cultural Affairs (BCA) at Western Illinois University is a student-run organization advised by the College of Fine Arts and Communication. The BCA provides a diverse, affordable performing arts series to students and the community each year. Many BCA events are provided free to WIU students. Performances include national tours of Broadway, theatre, dance, headline musical artists, chamber music, comedy and dramatic readings.
Additionally, the BCA manages the Youth Performing Arts Series (YPAS), which is underwritten entirely by the Performing Arts Society (PAS). YPAS provides educational programs to schools throughout the region at no cost to the student or schools.
Membership in the BCA is open to all WIU students and community members, and offers opportunities to help select and produce the events as well as gain hands-on experience in the music industry and theater management. For more information, call (309) 298-3571 or visit BCA Website.
University Union Board
The University Union Board (UUB) provides campus-wide, studentfocused programs to meet the entertainment needs of students on social, recreational, educational, and cultural levels. Eight committees constitute the UUB and offer opportunities for involvement and leadership development. University Union Board membership is open to all students. Join UUB on Facebook at Western Illinois University-University Union Board. Contact the UUB at (309) 298-3286 or UUB Website. The UUB office is located in the Student Organization Center.
