Climb the High Ropes
CANCELED DUE to WEATHER

Saturday, 9:00 am - Noon
Horn Field Campus, 985 China Road

Climb the high ropes course at WIU's Horn Field Campus, 985 China Road, 9 am - 12 noon, first come-first served, $10 per person, Ages 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring your spirit for adventure!


Tailgate Games
Saturday, 10:00 am - 1pm
Student Recreation Center, east side

Dads: Enjoy some bonding time with your son or daughter by participating in some fun activities before the WIU football game. Bags, ladder golf, bocce ball, and much more will be going on just east of the Student Recreation Center from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Get your game on with Tailgate Games.


Make a Difference Day
Saturday, 10:00 am
University Union, Lamoine Room

October 28th is also National Make A Difference Day! What better way to spend quality time together than giving back to the community? Join Western's All Volunteer Effort in participating in the country's largest single-day of volunteering. Spend a couple hours serving at sites around campus or the Macomb community. Free transportation and lunch will be provided. You Can Make a Difference by registering on Purple Post from Oct. 6-22, 2017.


Leatherneck Football

Hanson Field

Leatherneck Athletics invites all WIU Dad's & Students to our Dad's Day Football game. We host the Preseason #3 ranked Jackrabbits of South Dakota State University. The Missouri Valley Football Conference rival will square off against your Fighting Leathernecks on Hanson Field at 1:00pm. Tailgating starts four hours prior to kick-off at in Q-Lot adjacent to the field. The Leathernecks welcome Dad's and students to enjoy the Halloween weekend with Football and fun.

ALL WIU STUDENTS RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION WITH THEIR STUDENT ID!

Zombie Apocalypse Macomb 5k Run/ After party
Saturday, 4:30-9:00 PM
Hornfield Campus to Chandler Park

ATTENTION DADS: Zombies are coming! Come out with your son or daughter to try and survive this zombie 5k run! All survivors will finish the race at Chandler Park with an "Afterlife" after party that will have live music, delicious food, adult beverages, outdoor games and more! A free shuttle from Chandler Park to Hornfield campus will start at 3:00 PM up until the race at 4:30 PM. Cost of race is $25 per person. We hope this will be a night to 'dis-member'! See you there!


Haunted Housing
Friday & Saturday, 6-11pm
Thompson Hall

Haunted Housing is an annual haunted house event put on by the Resident Assistant Council. It's screams, fear, and fun all rolled into 2 nights! The event is located in the Thompson hall lobby from 6pm-11pm on October 27th and 28th and features the house on the 18th floor of Thompson hall. The entry fee is $3 per person and all proceeds are donated to local charities.


Dad Joke Open Mic Competition

Sandburg Lounge, University Union

Do you have the best dad jokes around? Come join members of Inter-Hall Council for Dad Joke Open Mic! Enjoy free food and laughter with some good, clean, family-friendly fun and Dad jokes! Great prizes will be given out to the best joke-tellers of the evening! Come enjoy and bring your Dad Jokes! Free event for all.
